Community

Labatt has committed itself as a company to support its community as more than a business organization.  Currently Labatt managers and volunteers are active and serving on the boards of Youth Orchestras of San Antonio (YOSA), the San Antonio YMCA, The Good Samaritan Center (a United Way Community Center in San Antonio’s highest crime neighborhood), the Alamo Heights Independent School District, and the University of North Texas.  Labatt executives have also served as trustees of the following non-profit institutions:  Trinity University, Baptist Hospital System, the San Antonio Food Bank, San Antonio Academy, and the University of Texas Press.

In 2005 Labatt Food Service was recognized for its outstanding record in Business Ethics by the Ecumenical Center for Religion and Health. The purpose of the San Antonio Ethics in Business Awards is to bring the importance of business ethics to the forefront of communities throughout San Antonio and to honor those individuals and companies that practice and believe in good ethics.
